After a short transfer by car from our office in Narsarsuaq, we will walk through Flower Valley enjoying the spectacular view of a valley formed due to the retreat and the consequent glacial sedimentation. The first kilometers run easy, having the chance to see arctic hares, foxes, sea eagles and peregrine falcons. To enjoy the view of the ice, we have to climb about 400 meters. We will advance at an easy pace, tailored to the group, so that the walk will be accessible to anyone. We will walk until we can see the Kiattut glacier and the landscape around it, with superb panoramic view of the ice sheet and its Nunataks (rock islands surrounded by ice). Once there, we will enjoy our picninc (included in the price) and, after a time of rest, we take the way down to the glacier. It is a easy hike and within half an hour we will be next to the ice, taking the opportunity to touch it and to know their true dimension. After that, we will heading back to Narsarsuaq. This is probably the most renowned excursion in all Greenland.
